April sales for BMW increased by 15%, attributed in part to the appeal that the top-end 7-series sedan and Z4 roadster has on consumers. BMW, which makes the BMW brand as well as the Mini and Rolls-Royce models, has sold 116,391 cars and sport-utility vehicles in April compared with 101,591 the prior year. In a statement, BMW disclosed that four-month deliveries rose by 14% to 432,037. Chief Ian Robertson said that BMW’s confidence stems from sales that the revamped 5-series sedan and the new four-door Mini Countryman car are expected to achieve.
